Saber started me on this wonderful journey that I am so excited to share with all of you! My name is Darian; Saber was my first foster and first foster fail. I honestly pick him to foster because he was a bit grungy looking and I didn’t think anyone else would foster him. I definitely did not expect to adopt him either but after our eventful journey started, I couldn’t say no.
Since fostering Saber, I have three other foster fail cats that I adore immensely as well as successfully fostered two rabbits and eight cats. Kittens are always so fun but my passion is working with the fearful kitties that need someone to build trust with so they learn that not all people are bad. Two of my current boys came to me like this. They were “behavior fosters” meaning that they needed this socialization before they were truly suitable for adoption. It took a month for me to be able to touch one without him running and two for the other. Now they greet visitors, seek attention, and are little love bugs.
My goal with this project is to create a space with easy to find information to help anyone wanting to know more about cats. This will include the basic care for cats, behavioral challenges you may encounter, medical concerns to be on the look out for, and more!
Since this all started because of a rescue cat, ultimately, I would love to use proceeds to help different cat rescues around the country. So be on the look out for different subscriptions and ways to help with this. In addition to information about rescuing, fostering, and adopting!
Along the way, I will also share more information about Saber’s Story as well as my current kitties (like the boys on the home page). I also have a dog for those of you that aren’t strictly cat people.
